I have the RHS Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture from Capel Manor College (Regents Park) which is the national standard qualification for professional gardeners. I have been working as a self-employed gardener for four years now, and ensure I am constantly learning and improving my plants and soil knowledge, and horticultural practice.

In Autumn 2017 I took a short practical course in garden design at the City Lit, tutored by Patrick Featherstone. Since then I have been actively learning from other designers and landscapers, plus relevant publications and trade shows. I am currently undertaking design drawings and planting plans for various clients. In January 2019 I will start the three year Diploma in Garden Design at Capel Manor (one day a week) which covers all aspects of design, drawing, landscaping and planting design, as well as some garden history.

Finally, I have combined my love of both plants and art by completing a short course on botanical illustration. See www.etsy.com/OriginalBotanicalArt for some of my watercolours.

Have tools, will travel!
