St John’s Cottages in Penge have gorgeous front and communal gardens, so my client wanted to improve hers to complement the informal cottage styles and ensuring year round interest.

Planting positions are still to be finalised, but the trees chosen are: Malus ‘Red Sentinel’, Liquidambar Styraciflua, Cercis canadensis ‘Red Pansy’, Salix integra, and Hammamelis ‘Diane’. Shrubs include Syringa ‘Mme Lemoine’ and ‘Palibin’, Cotinus ‘Grace’, Chimonanthus praecox, Pittosporum, Euphorbia and Callicarpa. Brachyglottis, Lavandula, Santolina, Juniperus and Alchemilla mollis are included for ground cover and foliage interest.

Photos of planted up display will follow in a week’s time.
